Venture After School at Jesse Kaplan is a unique collaboration between BOCES and Camp Venture. This program serves children who, because of their special needs, have not been able to access existing after-school recreation programs.

Venture After School provides an opportunity for recreation and socialization to children with multiple disabilities. Children can grow relationships, build skills and broaden their sense of self while having fun in a safe, personalized and stimulating environment.

Venture Good Neighbor is an after school, after work respite and recreation program for teenagers and young adults. It's a place to share fun and build friendships while learning social skills essential to adult living.

The program not only enjoys Venture's unique and varied resources, like its indoor pools, it is also a source of interesting and novel activities like yoga, tai chi and community outings, including bowling, shopping and dining out.

Venture Good Neighbor is fun, but it's also an important gateway to adult living for our program participants.
