Murphy Makes the Rounds
Patrick E, also known as the the “Grand Marshal†of Venture Inn has, in recent days, set up shop at the Northern Manor Nursing Home. Struggling with a bout of bad health, Venture’s own son of the old sod got a very special visitor this recently in the personage of Camp Venture President, John Murphy.
The two men discuss all things Irish and, after a lengthy and spirited conversation, Patrick acknowledged that he was starting to feel better. Venture Inn’s favorite son is said to be returning home soon where a very warm welcome is planned.
“The nursing home did a wonderful job and we’re so happy he’s coming home,†said Rhys Lukens, Camp Venture’s residential supervisor. Patrick is a regular fixture at the Camp Venture administration office where he has been sorely missed in the past several weeks.
Much thanks to The Good Samaritan Hospital ICU and their staff for the wonderful care and to the Northern Manor staff. Much gratitude also to all the Venture Inn staff including our nurses and especially to those staff who spent so much time at Patrick’s bedside. Warm regards too to Patrick’s sister, Sister Rose Andrew Egan, whose dedication to her brother is an inspiration to us all.
And, of course, thanks to our President, Mr. Murphy!
