Venture Marches Before Record Crowd
Venture marchers made their way down the streets of Pearl River, New York on Sunday March 20, in grand style as the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade drew a record 80,000 spectators.
Stepping to the cheering applause of the crowd, the Venture gang smiled and waved and beamed in Venture pride on this beautiful first day of Spring.
Leading the group were the Murphys, John and Eileen, who preceded the banner announcing Camp Venture to the throngs of onlookers. Familiar faces in the Pearl River parade, the gang was warmly received but it was , the agency’s miniature horse Star, that once again stole the show.
Clad in their best Venture green hats, gloves and scarves, the Venture group looked great and their near-perfect marching form was a match for the day’s delightful weather. It was a great day for the Irish and for Venture as the group marked this beloved community event with pride in the best traditions of the Camp Venture.
