In-home Residential Habilitation and Respite Services

“Habilitation” means that it’s not just baby sitting. Our people are there to provide care, to help develop skills and to assist people with developmental disabilities to lead productive lives.

Are you caring for a family member with a developmental disability at home?

Maybe you could use some assistance in the morning to help get a child off to school or an adult off to work or program. Maybe you could use someone for the late afternoons. Or perhaps you’re looking for someone to work with your family member to develop independent living skills or to engage them in new interests that might add value to their lives.

Help for you and your family is available through the Venture At-Home Service.

Venture At-Home is a residential habilitation service for your family member in your home. “Habilitation” means that it’s not just baby sitting. Our people are there to provide care, to help develop skills and to assist people with developmental disabilities to lead productive lives.

Venture At-Home staff are screened and trained by the agency. They are managed, however, in partnership with our families. We do home visits and monitoring, but mostly it’s through our collaboration with our families that we ensure quality together.

Founded by families, Venture understands not only the challenges inherent in caring for a family member with special needs; we also understand your investment in family. We understand the value of a home and the things that make life personal that are especially important to a person with special needs. That appreciation was the impetus for Venture’s investment in at-home services when we started our program, and that commitment is manifest today in the services and supports that we offer to families across Rockland County.

Call us for help or, if you have a service coordinator, ask them how you can get In-Home services from Venture. We’ll not only work with you on eligibility and enrollment, we’ll act as your advocate to try to get you and your family member what you need.

When it comes to care, there’s no place like home. Call Venture, the family agency, to nd out what we can do for your family. Contact Laticia Thezan for more information at 845-503-3467 or by email: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
