Venture Residential Services

Today, Venture’s residential program is about choices and options. It’s about having the opportunities that our people want when they are young, and having the services and support that they need when they are old. We’re the family that’s here for a lifetime.

For most of us, our home is much more than where we hang our hat. It is a part of us, a place associated with our most important personal relationships. Home, as they say, is where the heart is.

Courage HouseVenture offers a variety of housing opportunities. From independent supported apartments and unique independent living center model housing, to community group homes, to residences with intensive behavioral and/or medical supports, Camp Venture has a place to suit just about any need or preference.

Venture residents enjoy an active lifestyle. They work and/or attend programs in the community. They enjoy house activities, day trips and vacations. There are picnics and pool parties, as well as horseback riding at our campground. There are sports activities in our gym, social occasions for every season and a residents’ forum called the “Town Meeting”, where people can speak their minds or just share a personal thought. There is much to do, and a wonderful group of people to do it with.

At Camp Venture, a home is not simply a residence, it is the aspiration for a life that is personal and fulfilling. We believe the commitment of our residents, our families and our staff creates a culture of caring that makes Camp Venture a special place.

Most importantly, we are a family.

Engel HouseCamp Venture offers a wide array of housing opportunities. From independent community apartment living with a minimum of supervision to 24 hour intensive medically and/ or behaviorally oriented supports, we have programs as varied and as individualized as the people we serve. With homes in nearly every community across Rockland County, Venture houses include small and medium sized group home residences, and many specialized programs like our Independent Living Center and our Alzheimer’s unit. We have choices but more importantly we off er options for today, tomorrow, and a lifetime!
